Dry ice blasting cleans perfect
without work interruptions
Dry ice blasting applications
- Dry; dry ice is electrically non-conductive and leaves no moisture.
- Residue-free; dry ice dissolves completely into CO2 gas in the room.
- Gentle on surfaces; dry ice blasting cleans with low/no abrasiveness.
- Environmentally neutral; dry ice blasting without toxic, environmentally harmful chemicals
How dry ice cleaning works
Dry ice blasting units from ecoTES remove dirt with the help of dry ice pellets and compressed air.
The combination of ice-cold pellets and highly accelerated pellets ensures that surfaces are comprehensively cleaned of dirt particles.
When it hits the surface, dry ice sublimates completely into CO2 gas and dissolves in the room without leaving any residue.
Dry ice blasting is a gentle cleaning method without the use of water or chemicals.
Dry ice pellets up to 3 mm in size with a temperature of -79°C are used as blasting media.
Dry ice pellets are non-toxic, non-flammable, chemically inert, electrically non-conductive and leave no moisture.
Clean better and faster with dry ice blasting
-
Cleaning without interrupting work
-
Cleaning time is significantly reduced
-
Gentle cleaning of surfaces
-
No disposal costs for chemicals and waste water
Compared to sand, soda, glass beads or water pressure blasting, dry ice blasting is a very gentle cleaning method for sensitive surfaces because dry ice sublimates the dirt at -79°C and cleans at high particle speed.
In addition, dry ice blasting units from ecoTES clean very cleanly by optimally dosing compressed air and dry ice quantity, individually to the desired cleaning result.
Dry ice blasting cleans gently and completely.
Dry ice blasting cleans without work interruptions
Environmentally neutral cleaning
Without toxic substances
Dry ice blasting does not use harmful or toxic chemicals. Employees are not exposed to hazards from the use of hazardous and harmful substances.
No water, no waste water
Dry ice blasting cleans without the use of water, so there is no waste water pollution or corrosion. Dry ice is non-flammable and non-conductive.
No additional waste
Blasting methods such as sand, soda, glass beads or water pressure blasting produce additional waste that has to be disposed of in a complex, environmentally friendly and cost-intensive manner. These problems are eliminated with dry ice blasting because no blasting material is left behind. Only the resulting dirt has to be disposed of.
Dry ice production
CO2 is a by-product of industrial processes. Solid dry pellets are produced from gaseous CO2 with hydraulic dry ice pelletisers. Often CO2 is no longer produced separately but is generated by recovery plants. CO2 extraction by burning fossil fuels has completely disappeared.

1) Without dismantling the objects to be cleaned, the surface is freed from various types of dirt, such as adhesives, grease, incrustations, oil, graffiti, paint, varnish + rust, ink, paper residues, resin, soot, chewing gum, dirt, tar, wax, binding agents, bitumen, silicone, release agents, rubber, burns and much more. If you have special requirements for dry ice cleaning, please feel free to contact us at any time. We will be happy to help you and answer your questions – free of charge, of course!

2) Dry ice pellets between 1.5mm and 3mm are accelerated to the speed of sound with compressed air. The dry ice pellets lead to sudden supercooling of the dirt layer, causing it to become brittle and flake off. Dry ice pellets sublimate (transition from solid to gaseous state) abruptly upon impact, thereby completely removing the dirt layer from the surface.

3) The material is completely cleaned by dry ice blasting and remains undamaged. The remaining dirt can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. The biggest advantage of dry ice cleaning is the fact that no abrasive residue is produced during blasting, as with other blasting methods, e.g. sand or water. Dry ice becomes gaseous and dissolves. Dry ice pellets are non-toxic, non-flammable, it is chemically inert, electrically non-conductive and therefore does not leave any moisture behind.
